DigitalOnQ User Training


Welcome to training for DigtialOnQ. You will find that DigitalOnQ is a very powerful solution. Digital evidence is only going to increase but you now have a tool to effectively and securely manage all of your digital evidence management needs. Below is an overview of each of the screens and the associated functionality.


The main screen has several tabs at the top which will be visible or accessible based on your permissions in the system.

This is the Upload Tab. You will click on this and it will open the Upload Window where you will be able to navigate to the media asset(s) you want to upload and complete the process of uploading.

This is the Search Tab. It will take you to the window that will allow you to search for media assets in the system.

Upload Window

This is where you navigate to media asset(s) on your computer that you want to upload into DigitalOnQ

If there are sub folders to the location you indicated in step one, click the box next to Search Sub folders and click the Refresh Content button.

If you have device connected to your computer, such as a phone or tablet, it will be displayed here. You can navigate the file structure to locate the media you want to upload.

If the location you selected in Step 3 has sub folders click the box next to Search Sub folders, then click the Show Content button.

This is where you will add case information related to the media asset(s) you are going to upload. more info

A

This returns the total number of files and size returned from the location you selected in Step 1 or Step 3.

B

Clicking on the blue check mark will select all files returned.

Clicking the blue x will deselect all returned files that have been selected.

C

This is where you can select thumbnail view or list view for the returned items.

This is the Upload Button. Once you have entered all related data and selected the media you want uploaded you select this button.

You may add annotations to files returned in the window below. You have the option to Copy to -> All or only the ones you have selected. The last option is to click the Clear All Annotations link to clear all annotations.

Based on your administrations policy you may have the option to check these options to Print after Upload or Delete after Upload. Deleting after upload will delete the files from the location they were uploaded from.

A

Indicates how many pages of media asset(s) have been returned. Can navigate forward and backward. Show Items/Page can be set to return a certain number of items per page. Between 25 - 100 in increments of 25.

B

Clicking on the green check mark will select all the items on the current page.
Clicking on the green x will deselect all selected items on the current page.

Clicking on the blue check mark will select all the items returned from the selected location.

Clicking on the blue x will deselect all items.

C

Can select between larger and smaller thumbnails to display.

D

.Check this box to indicate you want to upload the asset.

E

Click this box to view the meta data

F

Click the magnifying glass to view the asset in the image viewer.

Click the Close button when you are done uploading asset(s)







Search Window

This is where you enter the criteria for the media asset(s) you want to search for. more info

Indicates the user that is logged in. You can also use the drop down to view the last 10 uploads did. Selecting one of them will return the items you uploaded.

Click the Search Button after entering all the criteria in the search parameter fields.
Click the Clear Button to clear all of the entered search criteria

Here you can build a query and add it to the search criteria.
